My name is Bekah, I am the Clovis area representative for FCA! I grew up in San Diego and the Central Valley area with an amazing family who has always supported me, loved me, and pushed me towards Jesus Christ since I was born. With such amazing examples, I came to know and love Jesus very early on. I’ve been a Christian almost my whole life, I started playing soccer when I was four years old and fell in love with the game more and more every year.
I started playing competitively in sixth grade, which was when I was stretched more in my sport and in my personal life than any other. My mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis that year and soccer became my outlet for my frustrations and feelings of loss. God used soccer to show me how important it is to walk through life with a team on your side who can encourage you, pray for you, and push you. From that year forward was when I really learned what it meant to trust God with my whole heart and life.
Fast forward to college and God put it on my heart to serve at Hume Lake Christian Camps for the summer as a high adventure guide in the trees. Hume cultivated my passions for student ministry, mentoring and discipling, and the awesome opportunities to pour into these students so that Jesus Christ would be made known on their campuses when they returned home.
I graduated from California Baptist University and moved to Newport Beach shortly after. I became involved in a local high school ministry, and through this ministry and many prayers, God led me to pursue ministry in a full time staff position with FCA. I get use my God-given passions to be a small part of training these athletes and coaches to be world changers, to equip them to be disciples and spread the news of Jesus Christ through sports. After four years in Newport Beach, I felt the call to come home and continue working with FCA. This calling could not be greater and I could not be more honored to be apart of this ministry in the Central Valley area.
I currently live in Clovis and enjoy skiing, line dancing, hiking, spending time with friends, and most importantly: spending time with my Savior Jesus Christ.
